Post 228 Junior Rifle

At Post 228, we empower youth through the precision sports of smallbore and air rifle marksmanship. Led by certified and fully cleared coaches, our non-profit team provides pre-teens and teenagers with world-class safety training, athletic development, and life skills like focus, self-discipline, and emotional control.

Whether an athlete is aiming for local league play, high school team representation, national matches at Camp Perry, or collegiate marksmanship, Post 228 gives them the foundation to excel on and off the range.

Program Overview:

Disciplines: Precision Air Rifle & Smallbore (.22 cal)
Our Coaches: Certified marksmanship instructors with complete background clearances, prioritizing range safety and athlete growth.
Life Skills & Values: Firearm safety, mental discipline, emotional composure, personal responsibility, and sportsmanship.
Competition Pipeline: Local/regional leagues (Pittsburgh & Suburban, North East Ohio Junior Rifle League), National Matches and camps at Camp Perry, and collegiate marksmanship prep.
Community Partnerships: Proud supporter of the Norwin High School WPIAL Rifle Team.
